THE EXPOFLORA – The famous Dutch Flower Festival in Brazil

The Expoflora is the biggest flower festival and the biggest manifestation of Dutch culture in Latin America. Besides the beautiful and colorful exhibition of flowers and plants, the event is a true immersion into Dutch culture through Dutch clog dancing, cuisine, architecture, crafts and Dutch music. It is an annual event, which takes place in September (five long weekends from Friday to Sunday) and it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors. In September, during the Expoflora, the museum is open from Friday to Sunday. The Museum Holambra is part of the Expoflora. Therefore, in this period an Expoflora ticket is required if you want to visit the museum. Bar/restaurant: If you are looking for a cozy place to relax, come and visit our traditional museum-bar/restaurant. It is opened on Saturdays and Sundays during the Expoflora and we serve delicious typical Dutch snacks and pies, such as:

When the museum-bar/restaurant is open, there is always live-music. We have Brazilian, but also traditional Dutch music playing bands.

In our shop we sell several articles related to the history of Holambra, the Dutch culture and the Expoflora, such as books, magazines, DVDs, CDs and the original wooden shoes.
